Disable or Enable Keyboard Beep — Valor Terminal

This article explains how to turn the keypad (keyboard) beep on or off on a Valor payment terminal. Use these steps to silence the terminal for a quieter environment or to re-enable audible feedback for users who prefer the beep.

 

From the Home screen, press the Menu button (center of the screen). Disable Enable Key Beep Valor Terminal Step 1

Choose the Keyboard Beep option.

To disable the keypad beep, select No. To enable the keypad beep, select Yes.

Notes & Tips
  • Changes take effect immediately. Press a few keys after updating the setting to confirm whether the beep is enabled or disabled.
  • For quiet environments (such as restaurants, libraries, or medical offices), disabling the keypad beep can improve the customer experience. For visually impaired users or staff who rely on audible confirmation, consider keeping the beep enabled.
