FD150 Download Instructions (Over IP)

Note: First Data (FD) terminals are referred to by their EPI for troubleshooting and support purposes.

Overview

These instructions explain how to perform a full download on an FD150 terminal over IP. This process applies to Omaha and Nashville platforms and will erase all existing files on the terminal before downloading fresh configuration files.

Important: Ensure you have the correct DL ID and reset key (if applicable) before starting. The terminal will reboot during this process.

FD150 Download Over IP – Step-by-Step Instructions

Access the Download Menu
  1. From the main sales screen, tap the Cancel key.

  2. Hold Enter, then press 4.

  3. When prompted, enter the system password:

    • Usually 990712

    • Sometimes 766130

  4. On the screen with three blue bars, tap Exit to OS.

  5. Select Setup and enter the system password again.

  6. Select Erase to clear the terminal.

  7. Select Run.

    • The terminal will erase all files and reboot.

  8. Select Download.

  9. Select Port.

    1. Port: 443
  10. Select IP.

    1. IP Address: GDSPROD.FIRSTDATA.COM
  11. Select File and enter the following values:

    1. TID: DL ID

    2. MID: Leave blank

    3. APN: 1

    4. FName: GT3

  12. Press Enter to save the changes.

Initial Download
  1. Select Run.

  2. Once the download completes, press Cancel three times.

  3. Enter the system password again.

  4. Select Use GDS, then select Perform Download.

  5. Select Download (confirm Yes), then select IP, then Full.

  6. Enter the DL ID again and press Enter.

  7. If prompted for a reset key:

    • Enter the reset key if provided

    • If no reset key is required, leave it blank and press Enter

  8. Set Package to 1.

  9. Verify:

    • IP Address: GDSPROD.FIRSTDATA.COM

    • Port: 443

  10. Press Enter twice to begin the download.

 
CAPK Update (If prompted)
  1. If prompted for a CAPK Update, allow it to run.

  2. Press Enter once the update is complete.

Once all downloads and updates finish, the FD150 terminal will be fully updated and ready for configuration and testing.
