SwipeSimple Card Reader Setup Guide
Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting a SwipeSimple card reader to a compatible phone or tablet. Follow these steps to pair your device and begin processing payments successfully.
Before starting, ensure you have the following:
- A SwipeSimple card reader (fully charged for at least 2 hours)
- The SwipeSimple app installed from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
- A phone or tablet with Bluetooth enabled
- Valid SwipeSimple account credentials
Initial Setup and Connection

Download the SwipeSimple app
Install SwipeSimple from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. -
Enable Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth in your mobile device settings. -
Power on the card reader
Press and hold the power button until:-
B250: Blue light flashes

B350: Blue light flashes with a solid red light

Open SwipeSimple and start a transaction

Open the SwipeSimple app

Enter an amount and tap Checkout

When prompted to use a reader, select Yes
-

Grant permissions
Allow all requested permissions. SwipeSimple requires these to locate and connect to the reader. -
Automatic pairing
SwipeSimple will automatically search for and pair with nearby readers. -
Reader ready
When the screen displays “Tap, Dip, or Swipe” along with the reader image, the reader is connected and ready for use.
General Troubleshooting

SwipeSimple will check for disabled Bluetooth or missing permissions and guide you to correct them.

Bluetooth readers can connect to only one device at a time.
If the reader is paired to another device:-
Go to your device’s Bluetooth settings

Select the reader and choose Forget This Device or Unpair

Retry pairing in SwipeSimple

If the reader still does not connect, follow the platform-specific steps below.

iOS Troubleshooting Steps

If the reader still does not appear, proceed to the Factory Reset steps below.

Card Reader Factory Reset
B200 or B250 Readers

Insert a paperclip into the small round reset hole next to the charging port

Press and hold for 15–20 seconds

The lights should turn off during this process

Release the button
-
The lights will flash multiple colors, then return to standby mode
The reader is now reset.
B350 Reader

Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds
-
Release the button
-
The lights will flash multiple colors, then return to standby mode
The reader is now reset.
