SwipeSimple – “Unverified Version” Error Resolution Guide
Overview
The “Unverified Version” error in SwipeSimple typically occurs when the installed SwipeSimple and BroadPOS application versions are not compatible or required provisioning steps were not completed.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
1. Verify Application Versions

Check that the installed SwipeSimple and BroadPOS versions match the recommended versions.

2. Confirm the Batch Is Closed

Ensure the current batch is closed before performing any updates or reinstallations.
3. Delete and Reinstall Correct Versions

Remove incorrect versions of SwipeSimple and BroadPOS from the PAX Store.

Install the correct SwipeSimple and BroadPOS applications as required.
4. Power Cycle & Test

For First Data Omaha or First Data Nashville, complete required provision steps first.

Restart the device.

Run a test transaction to confirm resolution.
5. If Provision Fails

Contact EPI to obtain a new Device ID.

Update the Device ID in BroadPOS, save, and push the application.

Return to Step 4 and retest.
