Unpacking and Setting Up Your S80 Terminal

This guide covers everything included in the S80 terminal box and provides step-by-step instructions for loading receipt paper and powering on the device for the first time.

Loading the Receipt Paper

  1. Press the green button on the top right of the device to release and open the receipt paper holder cover.

  2. Lift the cover fully.

  3. Place the thermal paper roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from the bottom, coming out underneath the roll.

  4. Hold the end of the paper with one hand while closing the cover securely with the other.

  5. Hold the terminal with one hand and gently tear off the excess paper by pulling down and to the side.

Powering On the Device for the First Time

  1. Press and hold the red power button located on the top left corner of the keypad until the screen illuminates.

  2. After powering on, the device will automatically connect to BroadPOS to check for available updates. If no updates are found, it will proceed to the main screen.

  3. The main screen will show:

    • "Ready" if the device is connected to a computer

    • "Input Amount" if the terminal is operating in stand-alone mode

How to input letters on PAX S80 

To input letters on Pax S80:  

Press the corresponding #, then the yellow ALPHA button (next to the number 6) (ex. If B, do #2, then ALPHA two times)
